Our Campaigns

#VoteSmart

Dear Australia, this federal election let’s #VoteSmart. Because if not you, then who?

The #VoteSmart campaign is here to help you be a more informed voter. We will do this by providing you with an overview of where different political parties stand on issues that are important to you as members of the INAC community. We invite you to consider and share these informative resources, including our #VoteSmart guide, which highlights where the four major political parties stand in respect to issues that are important to our organisation and community.

Our Public Spaces

The Our Public Spaces campaign aims to encourage productive conversations around the intersectional nature of street harassment. In particular, the campaign focuses on how every person has the right to move through public spaces freely and safely. The campaign involves social media storytelling, as well as poster installations around Melbourne. We welcome our community to join the conversation by using the hashtag #OurPublicSpaces on social media to share their thoughts and experiences.

#MakeAustraliaSafer

Racism on streets has always been a social and moral issue. Since the pandemic started Australia has seen an exacerbation of racism, be it public or hidden. The #MakeAustraliaSafer campaign focuses on transformative justice, understanding the notion of cultural attitudes and reaching towards the collective action to prevent racism.

#NoSpaceForHarassment

#NoSpaceForHarassment is a multi-fold project that highlights the prevalence of street harassment in Australian society. This year, our campaign coincides with International Anti-Street Harassment Week, which raises awareness about street harassment and the right to public space.
